Description
Cows have grazed the three-mile stretch outside Telluride on the valley floor for decades. Artist Judith Kohin gave them a voice in 1987 when she created the "Telluride Valley Cows" cartoon strip. The valley cows first appeared in the Telluride Times, one of two local newspapers at the time, and over the years these cows have been published in every newspaper that's been produced in Telluride including the Telluride Watch where the cartoon appears every Friday.... This compilation of cartoons offers an interesting history of Telluride through the eyes of whimsical bovines. With top news stories of the day featured adjacent to many of the cartoons, locals and visitors alike can better appreciate and understand Telluride's colorful past.".
