Foodborne outbreaks are a notifiable condition in Colorado and, when identified, must be reported to the state or local public health department. The majority of foodborne outbreaks are investigated by local public health agencies, which supply summary reports to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). This report summarizes reported foodborne outbreaks during 2000-2009.
