Description
"Ved Mehta was born in 1934 in the city of Lahore, India (now in Pakistan). He lost his sight at the age of four after an attack of spinal meningitis. Schools for the blind were almost nonexistent in India at that time, so Mehta traveled to the U.S. at age fifteen to attend the Arkansas School for the Blind. His story in The Stolen Light begins three years later, as he starts his freshman year at Pomona College in California" --publisher.
