Hope, Montana is a ranching town whose roads were once paved in wolf skulls. When a pack of wolves returns to the area and livestock begin to turn up dead, Hope's legacy of wolf-hating is reignited. It is up to biologist Helen Ross, called in to collar and monitor the wolves, to uphold their legally-protected status.
